G.'.D.'. Musings
Mar. 1st, 2007 04:05 amA week or so ago, someone invited me to a Yahoo! list, apparently for the Griffin line of the Golden Dawn. I subscribed, as I usually do, but after having my mailbox fill up with way more noise than signal from the list, I unsubscribed. Now, someone has invited me to another one, this one for some sex magic group, affiliated with either the same version of the Golden Dawn, or another one, I haven't looked at it closely enough to find out yet. As usual, I dutifully subscribed, and we'll see how this one goes. The Golden Dawn never struck me as much of a sex magic order, and sex magic has never been a particular interest of mine, anyway.
I'm just wondering who is sending me the invites. I haven't been particularly active on the various magical lists I subscribe to lately, but apparently I made an impression somewhere.
The thing that really amuses me, is that of all the styles/schools of magic I have an interest in, the Golden Dawn is the one that I have lost the most interest in over the last few years. I'm way more interested in the hermetics of old Alexandria than that of the Medieval/Renaissance era, but apparently some Secret Master somewhere is taking an interest, ;-).
