As some of you might be aware, particularly if you've met me in person, I'm a pretty foul-mouthed guy. Well, I have been issued a challenge, to stop swearing for 33 days. It will be difficult, as swearing is something I usually do without thinking, but I'm going to give it my best shot. I am going to keep a journal of my effort, updated at least daily, maybe more. Later I may turn this journal to other projects, but right now it will be focused towards my anti-swearing effort.

SO who issued the challenge? And why?

Heh. The challenge was issued to me by the member of the priesthood I am working with towards my second degree in the Temple of Set. The point of the exercise is to help develop my self-discipline, an issue I have had much difficulty with.

To clarify, I have expressed to him the fact that a lack of self-discipline is one of the main obstacles I see to my initiation, as well as my life in general. The "no-swearing" challenge was a suggestion he came up with to help with the discipline issue, which I find highly amusing and appropriate, due to the fact that I do have a foul mouth. It's not like someone's calling me naughty for swearing all the time, it's just a good exercise for me, personally.
