At some point within the next 2 weeks (depending on when my loan money gets deposited) I will be the owner of a black 2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid. Anyone want to buy a used red 2000 Nissan Frontier cheap? It needs some body work, and has an intermittent A/C problem, but still runs just fine, engine wise.

And finally, how much are you asking? :) I'd have to drive, bus, train or cheap-fly to wherever you are, and drive it back - which sounds like fun to me. We're moving to Nevada, rural, and etc.

Date: 2010-04-18 03:46 pm (UTC)The A/C doesn't control the power steering, it just cuts out or doesn't start up sometimes when it's hot out, which sucks here in Houston.
Aside from those things, the only problem is that there is a rip in the driver's seat upholstery, and the ceiling upholstery is falling down a bit.
It is a 4 cylinder King Cab (2 drop down jump seats behind the driver's and passenger seats, and the Blue Book on it is $2500 in fair condition. For someone willing to take it off my hands quickly (as soon as I get the new car), I'd probably start my asking price at $2000, and then see what I could get haggled down to. I'm planning on getting it appraised at CarMax Friday to see how much they'll give me for a trade in, but I don't expect much, and if someone else wants to take it off my hands, I'd be happy to sell it.

Date: 2010-04-18 04:41 pm (UTC)Can you find a photo of a similar model on-line? Everything I've read says that it's a decent work-horse if a bit short in the bed. (Quote: Too short for a motorcycle, but fits an ATV handily.)

Date: 2010-04-18 04:56 pm (UTC)It would be fun with one of the kids, and I'd get to see stuff - but it would cost me an additional 60 or so gallons of gas. Like I said, if you get a deal to sell, go for it. You've had it for a few years it sounds like, would you recommend that make/model to someone who was looking for a similar truck?
